My name is Azeem Azeez. I am a web designer/developer by day and an amateur photographer by night. I like building clean and simple websites, frameworks and templates for Wordpress and Textpattern while focusing on usability. I just finished working on a 365 project where I took a photo everyday for a year in 2013. You can also buy some of my photos as prints. Got a question? This is one of my favorite buildings in Dubai Marina. Its massive, bright and architecturally beautiful. Since the building has a pretty unique structure, it looks a bit different every time you look at it from a different part of the Marina.
The Address Hotel in Dubai Marina is a five star hotel and located right next to the Marina Mall
Souk Al Bahar is a market located in the heart of Downtown Dubai, right next to Dubai Mall. This photo was taken in one of the many hallways in the souk and this one leads right to a viewing area to watch the Dubai fountains in front of the Burj Khalifa.
The Souk is mainly a tourist attraction, with either side of this hallway being filled with fancy, up-scale restaurants and souvenir shops.
I’m not a big fan of the color gray when it comes to photography. But combine gray with strong lights and horizontal lines and it produces some interesting effects.
Shot from the new beach that just opened up in the Jumeirah beach residence. At night, this new area takes on a different look with the lighting and the artwork from local artists. There is a beautiful water display right across from these steps which looks amazing at night.
The blue light in this photo comes from an electronic billboard a few feet away.
When taking the abra (traditional boat made of wood) between the water stations in Deira, you’ll get to see plenty of mosques along the waterway. The abra is a great way to travel across the water bodies as its cheap and provides an amazing view of the entire Deira creek.
